One frequent question we get is has to do with travel dates. What can you do if our set tours aren’t running when you want to travel? In that case, we can arrange a custom tour. While there is really no way to duplicate the uniqueness our official tours on a custom tour, we can still plan an itinerary that approximates routes and events. Ideally, you can join us on one of our set Spain tours, but please let us know if you want to explore traveling on your own at the time of year that suits you best. We have arranged these type of tours dozens of times and feedback we have gotten is incredible!
Another FAQ: how hot is the tour in the summer? Well, in our opinion, walking in June is perfect summer weather – it can get hot, but it’s dry and comfortable, especially in the morning to early afternoon, when most of our walks take place. I love Spain in the summer – the atmosphere is so light and celebratory. When we head to Granada and the Alpujarras (the foot hills of the Sierra Nevada mountains) we head up in altitude and the weather cools dramatically. You’ll be sleeping with a blanket! Also, remember: it’s humidity is extremely low, so the shade is always very nice!
