As the owners of Olé Spain, Josh and Vanina Wolf and David and Alicia Flaxman (above) invite you to experience Spain.
In 1993, we began leading cultural day tours
of Spain. In addition
to taking our guests to destinations such as the famed Cathedral
and Royal Chapel (where King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel are buried),
we
chose hidden walkways in the old Arab quarter, and nearly-forgotten
grape-covered patios. Our primary goal was to create the ultimate
Spain Tour, to invite our guests into the heart of Spain and give
an "insider's" view of Spanish life. And while meandering
through the local markets and silent caminos, we brought
to life the last 15 tumultuous centuries of Spanish history. We
shared
our fascination with the lifestyles and customs of historical personages
from Boabdil, the last Moorish king, to Washington Irving, author
of the illustrious Tales
of the Alhambra.
Keeping true to our vision of what travel
to Spain should be, in 1997
we expanded this original five hour cultural walking odyssey into
our signature tour of Spain - Andalucía:
The Golden Age of Spain. It was truly a labor of love. We personally
guided the tour, only offered it a few times per year and painstakingly
planned every detail. Each restaurant was an absolute favorite and
each hotel at the top of our list. The popularity of our company grew
by word of mouth, and each year we've continued to hold ourselves
and our guides to the same superior standards that we set from the
beginning. We are proud to now offer week-long tours
of Spain, adventures
into the dreams and nuances of several distinct Spanish locations.
From having grown up with España in our everyday lives
we have developed a familiarity and a passion understood only by those
who have joined us for walks in our favorite places.
